Development of the method (strategy, technology) for the remediation activity at the former uranium facility Pridneprovskiy Chemical Plant''

The project's key objective is to find a radioactively safe and economically effective solution for former uranium facilities. Within the scope of this project this is done through provision of consultative and technical support, as well as the introduction of modern and efficient methods and tools for planning of remediation activities at uranium legacy sites, taking into account the best international practices.
The project shall lead to:

• a long-term strategy for the transformation of the uranium production legacy site facilities of Pridneprovsky Chemical Plant into an environmentally safe state;
• a feasibility study for the rehabilitation of selected facilities of the Pridneprovsky Chemical Plant.

At the end of the project implementation phase the deliverables of the project will be handed over to the Ukrainian project partner and the end user.
