Maxim Shapelevich has been working on legal aspects of energy, natural resources exploitation, public procurement, PPP, customs and international trade, products’ liability, competition and antitrust for 8 years. He has been advising cross-border and domestic clients on asset acquisition and investments, participated in legal due diligence assignments from both the seller’s and the buyer’s side and provided legal support in dispute cases related to the outcomes of public tenders. He claims experience with international organisations through previous work as a Senior Local Legal Expert on a Public Procurement Survey for the World Bank and as a Senior Local Legal Expert for United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the context of a full review of the agreements; between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the World Trade Organisation (WTO) regarding to compliance with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) technical regulations.
