Support on radioactive waste management at the Vektor Industrial Complex in Ukraine (U4.01/11AB)

The overall objective of the project is to improve safety and cost-effectiveness in the management of all types of radioactive waste in Ukraine, while also directing all the activities towards waste minimisation and the long-term goal of permanent and safe disposal.
The purpose of subproject 'A' is the development of technological building basic design for processing (including conditioning of) solid radioactive waste, including identification of technologies and equipment for fragmenting, compacting, incineration, cementation, sorting and packaging of solid radioactive waste at the Vektor industrial complex site in the Chernobyl exclusion zone.
The purpose of subproject 'B' is to provide support to the operator (end user) to allow full licence for ICSRM lot 3 and type I and II disposal facilities at Vektor industrial complex site in the Chernobyl exclusion zone.
