Support to modernisation of the Energy Sector in the Republic of Moldova

The overall objective of the project will be to support the Republic of Moldova (RoM) in thereform of its Energy sector with a view to ensure higher efficiency and higher energy security. It will also support the implementation of the commitments the country undertook as a Contracting Party to the Energy Community and in the framework of the EU-MD Association Agreement. Support will be provided to reinforce the capacities of Moldovan Institutions in charge of the Energy market, in reinforcement of the electricity transmission system and in reinforcement of Energy Planning capacities.
